Start a lifelong friendship

knots and a magnet

Get a piece of paper and answer these questions in writing:

How do you identify — in terms of race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic background, and other factors that are integral components of your identity?

Create a character based on you, but give them a different name.

Now imagine a character that is as different from character A as possible. Write down in detail how they identify. Give them a beautiful name.

If Characters A and B were about to start a close, lifelong friendship, what would they say to one another? Write a poem based on their conversation(s).

Give each of them equal sympathy.

Give each of them almost equal number of lines, but give Character B at least two more lines than Character A.

Start and end with Character B.
