Award-winning poet Souvankham Thammavongsa challenges you to play a seriously long game. Try it!
Take ten photos with your friends and put it away somewhere, forget about it. Don't pick and choose the photos you've taken. Just take ten photographs. Store it on your computer or print them and put it in a shoebox. Wait 15 years, and come back to these photos. Describe who these people are, what they've become, who you were then, who you are today. Describe what is in those photographs. Was there just faces? What is in the background? It's been 15 years. Congratulations! If you are actually doing this activity, you've shown you still care about writing poems. No one can give or teach you that.
