Biography

Toronto-based poet, critic, and essayist Emma Healey is the author of two books of poetry, Begin with the End in Mind and Stereoblind. John K Sampson of the Winnipeg band The Weakerthans praised Stereoblind for “how it shifts from sorry to laughter and back, on the same page, in the same line sometimes, then sends us out into the world better prepared for struggle, better attuned to joy.” She has poems, essays and criticism that have appeared in places like the Los Angeles Review of Books, THE FADER, Hazlitt, the Hairpin, the Globe and Mail, the Walrus, Canadian Art, and Little Brother. She writes about music at Said the Gramophone and she plays guitar in a punk band called Rotten Column.
