Biography

Born in Dorset, England, Patricia Kathleen Page moved to Canada as a very young girl. Raised in Calgary and Winnipeg, Page began to associate with the Montreal Group of poets, including A. M. Klein and F. R. Scott, when she moved to Montreal in the early 1940s. She published more than a dozen books, including poetry, a novel, short stories, essays and books for children. Page won the Governor General’s Award for poetry in 1954 and was twice shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize.
