Biography

Born in Northern Ireland, Paul Muldoon has lived in the United States since the late 1980s. Muldoon met the Irish poet Seamus Heaney when he was a student at Queen’s University Belfast and became close to the Belfast Group of poets there. He has won the Pulitzer Prize, the Griffin Poetry Prize, and the T. S. Eliot Prize, among many other honours. He is a professor at Princeton University and is currently the poetry editor at The New Yorker.
