Biography

The English lyrical poet Sir Thomas Wyatt (1503-1542) was an ambassador for the court of King Henry VIII and is rumoured to have had an affair with Anne Boleyn shortly before her execution. Wyatt has been called the father of the English sonnet for introducing the European form to an English audience.
