By creating an iMovie storyboard of a poem with pencil sketches, this mini-unit helps students SLOW down their recitation, learn a poem by heart, recite with emotion, and respond to poetry in multi-modal ways.
In this lesson, students will have opportunities to:
- Use art and digital literacy to comprehend and interpret written texts.
- Recognize how literary elements, techniques and devices enhance and shape meaning and impact.

and pacing as well as memorization.
To teach this lesson, you will need:
- access to video recording software (iMovie)
- cameras/laptops
- class projector and speakers
