Biography: 

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, the American poet Sara Teasdale (1884-1933) published her first book of sensitive poems, Sonnets to Duse and Other Poems, in 1907. She continued to publish steadily and won the Pulitzer Prize for her collection Love Songs in 1918. She committed suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills.
