British Nobel laureate Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) is famous for his collection of stories The Jungle Book and for his poems “If” and “Gunga Din.” Born in Bombay, India, Kipling spent most of his life in England and the United States. His travels to India and South Africa influenced his imaginative and lyrical work.
