Biography

Noelle Kocot is the author of eight American books of poetry, most recently, God's Green Earth (Wave Books, 2020). She also has published chapbooks in England, Ireland and Germany.  In 2011, she published Poet by Default, a book of translations of the poet Tristan Corbiere (Wave Books, 2011).  She has won numerous awards for her work, including those from The National Endowment for the Arts and The American Poetry Review. She has taught at the University of Texas New Writers' Project and currently teaches part-time at the New School. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, and is the current poet laureate of Pemberton Borough, New Jersey.
