Biography

Nicole Lachat was born in Edmonton, Alberta to a Peruvian mother and Swiss father. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Alberta and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing (poetry) from New York University. Her poetry appears in Palimpsest Magazine, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, and Ruminate Magazine (forthcoming), among others. She won second prize in the Short Grain 2018 poetry contest, and is a Banff Art Centre fellow. She currently lives in Lincoln, where she is pursuing her PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska.
