Biography: 

The English-born poet Marjorie Pickthall (1883-1922) emigrated to Canada as a young girl and grew up in Toronto. Highly regarded within her lifetime, Pickthall was a prolific writer, publishing poetry, novels, short stories, and historical fiction. She also worked as a librarian, journalist, and even an ambulance driver during World War I.
