Biography

Born in London, Christina Rossetti (1830-1894) is best known for her collection the Goblin Market and Other Poems, published in 1862. The most famous of her artistic siblings was her brother Dante Gabriel Rossetti, the poet and painter, and she lived among the key figures of the Pre-Raphaelite movement. Sick for many years at the end of her life, Rossetti suffered from Graves Disease and died of breast cancer.
